Problem is that the nitwits running this country would listen to a hayseed farm boy. I wish more of them farm boys were in charge. Simple problem solving.

Many "oil spill containment booms" are made with a haylike stuffing in a netting tube. The EPA already knows it will work. These type booms are super expensive. Just throwing or blowing the hay would be just as effective and cost a hell of a lot less.

Hell, the farmers that supply the hay could charge the government 3 times the normal cost per round bale and the government would still be getting a helluva bargain.

OH, I just explained why this idea will never be used, it dosent cost enough and God forbid the government saving money. But it would be cool to solve the problem and support the farmers at the same time.

Central TX hay fields are full of OLD last years' hay(big bales) right now..

Why not pay a small bounty and haul all this hay out-to-sea and dump it in strategic spots in the gulf oil spill area--and see what happens.

What a novel idea--something the Administration could not figure out--Right!
