One game .....the LaGrange softball coach didn't want a series. Sweeny coach wanted a series but lost the flip. JMO....a series will generally give you the better team as the winner and a one gamer....well....anything can happen....I would have opted for the series as good as these 2 teams are. But if you don't think you can beat someone 2 out of 3 then 1 is probably way to go.

Heard rumors last night that the La Grange softball coach was telling her parents and players she wanted a series and not a one gamer...that is not true...Sweeny wanted the series but if she is still wanting the series I think we can make that happen. I will get her Sweeny Coaches number and play series.

Really? Keep us updated on what happens. I also heard she wanted one game and Sweeny lost the flip. I just thought she didn't think she could beat Sweeny twice.

This should be a good game to watch. Sweeny is a great team. I got to watch them play last year a couple of times and their pitcher is AWESOME! The series with Needville last year was a heart breaker and I am sure they are ready to get back to that Regional stage again!

Wimberly's field is, quite frankly, crap. Its main purpose is to serve as the playground for the elementary school where the field is located. Chainlink dugouts, faulty lighting (it often goes out and takes 25 minutes to come back). Parking is terrible.

I hope they're able to play the game, and the field's condition doesn't dictate the outcome.

That Giddings/La Grange district is really, really strong, as always. I've said for over a month - I really like the team that comes out of Region IV in the state tournament.
