Does anybody consider it wrong for me to be on 3A Downlow while at school? I have never gotten on if I have work to do, but I got caught and they tried to block it but couldn't for some reason.:D
I don't see anything wrong with it as long as I am done with my work.

A student should never be on the internet for personal use while in class. Maybe you should be studying for other classes.:thinking:

I don't know about your school, but at ours the student and parent sign a contract that they will not use the computers for any use except classroom related purposes. A violation of that rule will result in suspension of computer use at school. Of course, now everyone has a cell phone with internet capabilities and they use facebook and such sites all the time in school. We had several get thier phone taken away during TAKS test and has to pay a fine to get them back. SERVED THEM RIGHT IN MY OPINION.

I understand your reasoning for not using the computer for personal reasons. But at least I'm not looking up porn or anything like the kid across the room is. The only reason they caught me was because I was talking about it to a kid who sits next to me and played for Jasper this past year. Jasper really doesn't care what you do but for some reason they flipped when they saw I was on here. :thinking:

I don't think it is that big of a deal as long as your not supposed to be doing work for the class. During my free time(when I was not taking dual credit) I got on and no one really cared.

Ah...the old "I broke a rule, but not as bad as the other guy over there did" argument. Let's see how far that one gets you....

Good point. I think the worst thing that has happened computer wise since I started High School was a kid got caught looking up animal porn. :doh:

Worst thing I have done would just be bypassing the filter. Not for like Facebook or anything like that, but they have MSN blocked and I get on that just to see if anything interesting happened:p

I appreciate all of the feedback. I can really see both sides of the argument here. But for real, put yourself in my shoes. 16, nothing to do in a computer class, and crazy about High School Sports. Think about it. :thinking:

Design a web page! Practice your HTML. Setup a spread sheet with high school football statistics. Tell the teacher you are doing research of your favorite high school football team. Really nothing wrong with check in on the 3ADL!:D

we didn't even have electric typewriters.. we had the old Royal typewriter with an eraser baby.. old school :)
