Does anybody have the inside scoop on ADA numbers for your schools? Only post if you know the number for a FACT. I know that we don't know the cutoff yet, but it would be nice to make an educated guess.

We're looking for NEW #'s. The ones compiled last Friday from Oct. 1-31.

It is a popualtion explosion, by the beginning of next year we should be around 1200 or so. For the first time in a long time, in 4A we won't be fighting the numbers battle. It will be interesting to see what happens, because we also will be basically returning everybody too.

Jasper 854Nice. Man, that would be one heck of a district. Would kinda stink for Kville though. They'd be the smallest by a long shot.

Lumberton turned in 920. I'm thinking if the cut off for 3A is going to be around 925, it's going to make for a mad district. I think that the current 21-3A would shape up like this:
WOS
Bridge City
Orangefield
Lumberton
Silsbee
Buna
Jasper

Hamshire-Fannett and Hardin-Jefferson would be moved back to 22-3A.

JasperDog94

Don't forget Kirbyville.

After rethinking this.. I don't think Kirbyville and Jasper will end up in the current 21-3A District. They have to keep Diboll, Huntington, etc around to play.. I think BC's district will NOT include Jasper and Kirbyville now. My honest opinion.. my NEW 21-3A will be:

Bridge City
WOS
Orangefield
Silsbee
Lumberton
Buna
MAYBE Hamshire-Fannett
MAYBE Hardin-Jefferson

We discussed this on another thread, but here goes.

One rumor has Diboll going in with Coldsprings, Cleveland, etc. Take out Newton and Woodville (going 2A) and put in WOS, Silsbee and possibly Lumberton. 21-3A stays the same.

But like I said, that's just a rumor.

Is Buna big enough to go 3A?

But like I said, that's just a rumor.I hope 21-3A stays like it is. All the teams in this district are pretty evenly matched, but if WOS does drop, I can't see them not being in the same district with Orangefield and Bridge City. Reason being that these three schools are only seperated by a few miles.
By the way, I'm not sure what Orangefield reported, but my guess would be around 500. They posted 493 in 01 and I don't think they have lost many students.

kibyville and Buna usually stay around 470-490 but I haven't heard any concrete #s right now. Has anyone heard of schools combinding due to financial reasons?

If the low number rises to 400 or more, which it might, look for Childress to go to 2A. Ballinger and Bowie could as well.

If I remember correctly from the realignment article, they compare the Oct 31 UIL number to an earlier October count turned in to TEA. What happens if there is a big disparity? Is it looked in to or is the UIL number still used? I am willing to bet there is a school or two, in each classification, that have different numbers for each of these.
