Sorry to hear this for all the parties, if true. IMO, Lawrence Taylor has always had a felon's mentality. I don't know the circumstances of his personal and home life prior to this, but I do know that a 51yo man should know better. The best place for people with the mentalities of Lawrence Taylor and Mike Tyson is behind prision walls, I just don't think they can successfully function in open society.

I recognized and respected LT as an outstanding football player. Until now I was not very aware of his penchant for trouble. I say, if you never put yourself in a situation where your personal conduct could be criticized, you conduct probably won't be criticized.

I'm not passing judgement on whether he is guilty of assault, statutory rape, or any other crime. Poor judgement and choices? You bet.
