The girl's 800M run was a mess, had to be re-run after the 1600M Relay because of a wreck with 200M to go. I thought the wrong girl got DQ'ed.

Runner A and B were running side by side down the back stretch. I was watching thinking that runner A was going to make runner B run the curve on the outside. As soon as runner B got a shoulder in front of runner A she cut in on her. Runner A stepped on runner B's heel causing her to go down.

After a loooooong discussion they DQ'ed runner A and runner B was allowed to re-run the race. It was my opinion that runner B should have been the one DQ'ed since she did not have enough of a lead to cut in.

I was sitting in the stands and was not a curve judge so what I saw was irrelevant. In my opinion though, the curve judges did not see the incident from the beginning and they made their decision from what it looked like after the collision.

I honestly don't believe that the curve judges were playing very close attention to the races until after that event occured and then they did a better job of watching the races. That was the good thing that came out of it but a little to late for runner A.
