husband took his truck in for new tires and front end alignment yesterday - thinking it was going to be $879 drive out - then he gets the call - his "ball joints" whatever the heck that is, were shot - so that was another $450 (that was just the top or maybe bottom joints(I forget which) - Jeez - oh well - at least it didn't leave him stranded on the road 8 miles west of BFE.. I am trying to see the positive side of it........................ :)
Hope you get your truck soon :)

I have just been in a funk today!!

After coming back from lunch, I got out of my truck, walked to the office, got my keys out to check the mail and realized the deposits were still in my purse.

So I walk back to the truck, go to the bank, do my banking and pull back in my parking space....I looked down and realized that I had forgotten a deposit that goes to a different bank...a bank I had to drive RIGHT BY after leaving the first bank....so I had to turn around and go right back.

That is how my day has been since I got up this morning!!!

You have just described old age creeping in. I suggest that you face reality and change your name to Ranger Grandmomma.

Sure, as long as everybody agrees that KiKi translates to "Granny".

Where did they get KiKi?

K,
Denise has been battling a terrible sinus infection since Sunday. She has had consistent fevers of 102 to 104.5. She has seen two doctors since Monday and both seem to think it has to run it's course. I have missed this week's work so far to take care of her. I have never seen her this sick, ever. We've been together almost 20 years. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.:)

Since this is the complaining thread, I will whine for a second. I very gracefully tore the ligaments and tendons in my ankle last Tuesday. The ankle capsule is also torn, and one of the tendons pulled off a piece of bone. I won't bore y'all with the other details, but other than the pain, the worst part is having to be on crutches and not being able to bear weight on it, while trying to be a mommy to young children. :( There is still a very real chance that it will require surgery but even if it doesn't, I am looking at a minimum of 12 weeks recovery, and probably more like 16-20 weeks, according to the specialist. UGH!

Oh, and it happened in Sweetwater of all places. I guess Sweetwater finally got the best of one Bulldog. :D :bigcry: :bigcry:

I really don't know...my name is Kellye, and for some reason, my daughter started calling me KiKi a few years ago and it just stuck.

My 2 year old granddaughter calls her aunt KiKi and her name is Kelsey. There must be something to names starting with a "K".

Now that you say that, I remembered where it came from.

My daughter babysat a little girl who couldn't say Kellye....when she tried to say it, it came out KiKi.

When my granddaughter first started talking...she called me "Ka Ka":(

Well last night I went to go play softball and I have both kids with me since my wife had to work late and I forgot their bag that has diapers, drinks, snacks, etc., so I text my wife and tell her to either stop by the house on the way to my game, or just bring something for them to drink until we get home.

Once it's time to get started warming up I have some friends watch the kids until the wife gets there, and then we realize that no one from the other team has even showed up. So we were all dissapointed that we weren't getting to play, especially after showing up and it being the late game at 9:15.

We start to play around to get some practice in and the Mrs. shows up and realizes that our youngest "needs a diaper change", which we don't have. So she leaves to go home and takes my keys to my car with her. So I have to catch a ride home from someone else, go get my keys, and be brought back to the fields.

Get that done and on the way home I get pulled over for speeding. I knew I was about to be pulled over and before he could even turn his lights on I had already pulled to the side. It was then that I realize the insurance card I had was expired.

Luckily the story ends well and I only get a warning for speeding and nothing for the lack of proof of insurance.

Sounds like everyone is having a bad day or week. Mine is the same. I "almost" forgot to stop and get beer on the way home from work yesterday. Could have ruined my whole evening!

I have been doing great. Since I got back in this rat race I didn't think I should post anything, but I still read what was going on, on a daily basis. Since it's slow and school is rapping up I thought I might see what was up.

Girl, you can call me what ever you want. Probably can't call me something I haven't already been called since last summer. I have enjoyed it though. It has put a different taste to the Brownwood/Wylie rivalry, in a good way too, "I think"
