...and they're now having trouble shutting off the underwater valve to curb the leak. It'll likely be months before they shut it down.

Probably so and heaven help us if a major hurricane disrupts drilling further.

I am very concerned about the environmental impact on our coast and the financial impact on the Gulf shrimping industry. I hope they stop the flow quickly and are able to burn the spillage.

Rhode Island is a piss-ant state so, if that is the size of the spill ... who cares?
