Early is #12 (2A) but lost to a salty but not that talented Coleman team this week. Also lost the flip as both teams ended up with one loss each in district so they will be the 2nd place team out of there district.

Not taking anything away from Sweeny (they were 3A Regional Finalists last year and will likely return and may take state this year), but the maxpreps.com rankings are based on maxpreps.com data which is incomplete at best. Here are the 3A teams and their maxpreps.com W-L record compared to their W-L record reported elsewhere:

From the above teams alone, there are 56 games not taken into account including 11 losses (assuming the records reported elsewhere are accurate).

While these are all strong 3A teams, until the data being compared is complete, it's hard to get a true read.
