OK ... I fell for the gimmick and tried the KFC Double Down tonight.

The breadless sandwich ... where two fried chicken breasts replace the bun.

Taste - good
Cost - too much ($4.99)
Novelty - moderate

So ... back to Golden Chick for me.

Good try though KFC! Grade: B-

I like chicken, especially fried
I like cheese
I like bacon

I don't like chicken, cheese and bacon together
I wonder how many of the Double Down's they've sold

I loved it. Was a life-changing experience for me. And not just because of how good it was, also because I may have shut down an aorta and my left ventricle during lunch.

Doesn't sound like much of a sandwich. This thread has managed to make me hungry though.

Ms. Mom, I had two lovely ladies make a JJWalker sandwich last night.

No bread.

Well after my test of this 2 birds with one stone... if you will...

This sand is nothing more than compared to a sit down eat of about 4-6 Chicken Tenders...

I actually didn't even get full eating it.

The bacon added that Cordon Blu taste which improved some flavor.

The mustard helped spice it up....as eating chicken with cheese is a taste-bud no-no.

For the price it's perfect. But I doubt serious eaters would order these more than once.... not when you can get 99 cent Spicy Chiken Crisp sands from Burger King, that taste just as good.
