Raising funds for 9 year old Amanda Mauppin, cancer patient. She is the daughter of former FHS football/baseball coach, Bruce Mauppin, and his wife, Bonnie Mauppin.
We are asking that everyone and their family and friends come to the softball and baseball games on Friday and eat hot dogs. Funds raised from each hot dog sold will go straight to Amanda's treatment. It will cost $3 for adults and $2 for students to attend the games and then of course the purchase of your dog.
Bruce and his two younger children will attend the game. Amanda and her mother will be at the hospital starting a new round of chemo. Lindsey and Brody (Amanda's younger brother and sister) will throw out the first pitch of each game.
After fighting the cancer for 18 months and being tumor free for 6 months, Amanda's cancer has returned. This cancer is extremely aggressive.
Come enjoy the last two home games of the season and eat as many hot dogs as you can.
If you would like to just make a straight donation send it to FISD administration attention Sherry McGuire. Checks should be made out to FISD with Amanda Mauppin in the memo. Or we will accept cash at the games. Every dime will help this family.
This event is made possible by FHS softball, FHS baseball, FHS band, FHS journalism/newspaper, FHS photo club. The students of FHS are amazing.
