When a team is too young and stupid to know any better. I keep hearing sports reporters say that about the Thunder concerning them and their upcoming playoff series with the Lakers. What does it mean? Do they really not have a clue?

Judging from what I've read on here lately, I would guess that "too young and stupid to know any better" could loosely be translated to "Liberal Socialists."

If they're serious, they may mean that they're too young and stupid to know that the Lakers should and almost certainly will beat them. They go into it with enthusiasm and confidence because they're too young and stupid to know any better, whereas an older and wiser team would be more defeatist.

Maybe...? Does that make sense at all?

Dre, it could also mean that the Thunder is so new and inexperienced to the playoffs that they don't know to be in awe of the Lakers.

Or they're too young to know better on how to approach a playoff series, whereas the Lakers have much more experience.
