My 18 year old just left for Navy bootcamp. Miss him already.

9 weeks ,and I can't wait to see him again. If he enjoys it like football, he will most likely stay in.

When I graduated college, the draft was still around. I must admit I did not have to hunt for a job!! I wish your family only the best. My military service is something I will never forget and I don't mean that in a bad way.

This a very tough time for the family. My youngest just left for Iraq by way of Kuwait. He Facebooks me daily so it doesn't seem like a world away.
We all appreciate what your son is doing.

The hard part is shiplife, but he has a littlewhile before that becomes an issue. Is he attending "A" school after BC?

yes his A school will be in san diego,we think, he is a seabee and we were told they moved the A school from gulfport miss to san diego.

Well, I guess he won't have to worry too much about shiplife then. I only ran across a couple os Seabee guys during my stay, but they both seemed to enjoy the rate.
