In District 31AAA it was Sinton over Aransas Pass in a close 4 - 3 game. It was a game that both teams allowed the other team to get runs on errors but was still a good game.

This puts Sinton at 9 - 2 and Aransas Pass at 7 - 4 in District play.

Another District 31AAA score was Falfurrias 8 West Oso 7 in nine innings. This puts Falfurrias at 5 - 6 in District.

Unfortunately we don't have results in the Corpus Christi paper from the other big game between Robstown and Orange Grove and may not have those results until they update their scores section which may be several days.

Great job girls, does this put giddings and lg in a tie for first with giddings owning the tie breaker? Keep it up girls.

The coach told the girls they had to win out in order to claim first place. If that's correct, then they would own the tie breaker.

Giddings 6-2
La Grange 6-2
Sealy 5-3 (I am assuming Sealy beat Smithville on 4-13-2010
Columbus 5-3 (I am assuming Columbus beat Bellville on 4-13-2010)

Sealy holds the tie breaker over Columbus in head to head match ups.
Sealy has Bellville and La Grange to finish the year.

Columbus has La Grange and Giddings.

La Grange better be ready. Both of Columbus and Sealy are going to be coming full force!

I'm pretty sure Lyford is in first. Then who? LaFeria? Raymondville?

more stuff about dist 32....RGV sports.

BEWARE OF BOBCATS

“RH” doesn’t only stand for Rio Hondo, but “red hot” as well.

The Lady Bobcats got another big win Tuesday with a 4-1 win over Raymondville.

Rio Hondo (6-2) sits two games back of Lyford and is alone in second place thanks to the win. La Feria is 2 1/2 games out.

Coach Rene Salinas said his club’s been “making the routine plays” that coaches always love to see.

The Lady Bobcats can keep their streak going with a win at Hidalgo on Friday.

and

With their win over Port Isabel Tuesday, Lyford, still the Valley’s No. 1 team, ran its consecutive district winning streak to 17 games. The Lady Bulldogs started 1-2 in league play last season before reeling off nine straight wins to end the season.

Their last district loss came to Raymondville, 12-6, in March of last season.

Ironically, the two teams meet again on Friday in Round 2 of the annual Willacy County Shootout rivalry series at Raymondville.

most parents aren't happy after a loss...and give most parents time and they will find something to be mad about and also gripe.

They did but it took nine innings to do it. Congratulations to both teams on a tough game.

I found out that the Robstown vs Orange Grove game was rained out and they are moving it to this Saturday. These teams are in District 31AAA.
