That has to be the best high school stadium in the united states.

The stadium didn't cost 120 million the entire Allen ISD Bond package was 120 million total. It included stuff like a new auditorium and crap like that.

As for the stadium, Mesquite Memorial seems more practical

Just curious, What makes Memorial more practical than Allen's stadium?

Does anybody think some of the high school stadiums are a little unecessary? Maybe I am a little bitter but I feel like it takes away from the tradition of the friday night lights. Thoughts???

no I agree with you a lot..........sure the kids and communities are deserving but they do go overboard a little.

I remember high school football before jumbotrons, turf play, and four story press boxes.............what do those things do for a game still played on the field.....by the most important people in the stadium the kids.

oh yeah that looks like a nice set up in allen.

guess we'll just continue to play on real grass and sit in metal bleachers here in Cuero. They did put up hand rails to help us "older folks" get up and down the stands. The main parking lot is paved for the most part now - Oh and we do have a new concession stand :) Being in a rural area - it's hard to fathom the amount of money being spent. Not being bitter or negative - it's just hard for us "country folks" to grasp it.

Not bitter at all OLE'BULL, and I agree, way too many $$$ spent.

I don't think Allen is struggling for the money to pay for this

Emerson what do end zone seats have to do with practicality?

Allen's new place will hold 18k
Mesquite Memorial holds 20k

Because endzone seats have a crappy view.
