Yes, Bob Purser is on the school board.... and another ex-coach who Rusty Purser went to school with, played football with, and coached with is also on the school board.

If Greenwood is looking for change, they won't hire Purser. Evan tho Bob Purser and Taylor are good coaches, why bring back the same coaching philosophy? Move in a different direction, Hanna or Kulman.

I heard that Kuhlmann from Industrial resigned last night...heard he was headed to Midland Greenwood.

I live here....and the only thing I have heard is the coach who the community overwhelmingly wanted, didn't even make the top 3.

It could make for an interesting season around here!!!

All I can go by is what I hear....and what I have heard has been OVERWHELMINGLY for the same guy!!!

It definitely will be interesting though.....glad I no longer have to be involved in all the "politics" that be.....I can now just sit back and watch everything "hit the fan" as nothing more that an interested observer!!!!

whoever the new guy is, sad thing is that it will be tough for the in-coming seniors. The underclassman will have time to adjust.

heard the word around Alpine was that Hanna had gotten the call and would be headed to Rangerland....thats just whats flying around the mountains of west texas....have to wait and see if it's true.

I agree dont know if its official or not but if Hanna does get the job congrats to Greenwood son of West Texas State Champion Coach this family loves the game and will go to work to put there program in the best position to win.

I don't know if my husband knows Shad Hanna, but after running the chains for many years he has met Larry Hanna on multiple occasions and thinks very highly of him.
