score was 3-2 Giddings

#20 was the pitcher for Bellville, pitched whole game, did a good job..... Mueller threw on Tues with win over La Grange

Ty Marlow pitched all but last three outs, Masek came in to close the game.

Not the best hitting performance out of Giddings, couldn't find the gaps, left too many stranded.

good pitching by both teams, a nail biter as to what the guy behind the plate was going to call after every pitch. His inconsistency hurt both teams' at bats. You had to throw your discipline at the plate strategy out the window with that guy and go with the "pray and swing" thinking.

inconsistency in bellville/giddings game

he was fair, nothing biased

but one inning the strike zone was one way then next inning no way he was giving either pitcher the same call...

frustrating for both teams, batting and pitching. When a kid gets up there to bat, sees that the umpire is going to call a low (not in the dirt kind of pitch but low) a strike then the batter gets a feel for the zone of the umpire. Neither pitcher rarely got a curve ball for a strike & neither were having off nights with their curve ball, umpire just wasn't going to give it to them.

Next inning, same pitch low pitch is a ball. I don't care if the umpire makes his zone huge or tight, low or high just be consistent with it inning to inning and then the kids know where they have to go to get their jobs done, pitching or hitting.

Third time I've seen this guy behind the plate, once previously at Bellville, once in a game in College Station, didn't like it then either.....so I'll rephrase my post and have to say that I guess he is consistent because now for the third time I've seen him behind the plate and that has been and is his style.
