I was tearing up watching that on TV...I hope he comes back for one more year, as it seems clear to me that he wants to.

I can understand that Joe Nieuwendyk may want the team to get younger, but there's no rookie on the team that could offer what Modano does. From what I understand, it's going to be the Stars' decision, not Modano's, whether he returns.

Modano had a great career with the Stars but he is done. He had the worst statistical year of his career including JR's. He is WWWAAAAAYYYYY overpaid to only produce 30 points in a season and he is a liability to the team most of the time. I stopped watching the Stars because I could not stand watching Mike (who I have always loved) turn the puck over all the time just to avoid contact. I would love to see the old Modano back with the Stars but this Modano has to go........................... Now I'm all choked up!!!! Sniff, sniff.:( :(
