Clint Finley named Los Fresnos AD/football coach
Memorial defensive coordinator Clint Finley has been named the athletic director and head football coach at Los Fresnos.
Finley's hiring was approved by a unanimous vote of the Los Fresnos school district board of trustees on Monday night.
Finley has been the defensive coordinator at Memorial under his father and head football coach, Mickey Finley, for the past three seasons.
Clint Finley was to become the offensive coordinator at Victoria East when the school opens in August.
Finley will replace Scott Ford, who resigned in February to become the athletic director and head football coach at Nacogdoches.
Finley was an all-state quarterback at Cuero and played safety at Nebraska. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and in NFL-Europe.
Finley was an volunteer coach at Arlington High and an assistant at Cleburne and Schulenburg before joining the Memorial staff.
