Unfortunately due to not knowing all the results I don't know the overall standings of District 30AAA except that Ingleside is in first place at 7 - 0 and Sinton in second place at 6-1.

They play tonight in a very important game in Sinton at about 6 P.M. If Ingleside wins they will be in great shape needing only to win 5 of the last six games to be district champions. If Sinton wins then they will be tied for first place. This district is very evenly balanced and anything can happen in the last several games.

They had strong pitching and stronger offense last year. How does this year compare?

Aransas Pass 4-3

Also, the CC Caller has the Sinton-Ingleside game being played in Ingleside at 6:00 PM. Is that incorrect?

Yes MUSTANG69 because the other game was in Ingleside. The Sinton facilities were not complete when district started so Sinton had to play those home games out of town until this week so now we get those games here in Sinton because Ingleside was scheduled to come to Sinton a few weeks ago but we had to go there. So it will be in Sinton.

Let me know if you are coming to the game. I would like to meet you if so.

We lost some key players but we are doing well. It is basically a rebuilding year but the girls are competing well.

I don't know if I can make the game. I told my wife we would go to the gun range after work. If she decides not to go I would love to make this game. I will know for sure later this afternoon.

Hondo softball

Crystal City -- Scoring in every inning but the first, the Crystal City Lady Javelinas built a six-run lead on Hondo Tuesday, March 23, in District 29-AAA softball action, and held on for a 7-3 win.

The loss drops the Owls to 1-1 in district and 11-8 on the season, with more district action coming up this week.

Hondo hosts Carrizo Springs on Friday, March 26, and Devine on Monday, March 29. Both games begin at 7 p.m. Next Thursday, April 1, the Owls will visit Lytle.

The Lady Javs nickeled and dimed their way to a 6-0 lead after five innings. Hondo finally got on the board in the sixth with a three-spot.

Abigail Ytuarte led off the sixth with a single. Diseree Dupont and Brianna Garza later added RBIs as Hondo cut the difference in half.

But Crystal added a single run in the bottom of the sixth, and the Owls went down in the top of the seventh with only a two-out single from Haley Richter.

Pearsall has some speed and power to boot...I picked them earlier to win it(dist).....think they just hit a rough spot...I think they lost to George West, Bandera, Fredericksburg and Hondo within a two-three period.........very talent...and man did I say they have speed.

31-3A

1. Ingleside

2nd & 3rd will be determined after tonight's games. If both Sinton & Robstown win their games tonight, they will mostly likely play tomorrow (?) to determine seeding.

If either team loses tonight, that team would become the 3rd place team in this district. I really don't see either team losing to Falfurrias or Mathis, but stranger things have happened!

Sinton @ Falfurrias
Mathis @ Robstown

District 25-3A Softball
8-2 Giddings
7-3 Sealy
7-3 La Grange
5-5 Columbus
3-7 Bellville
0-10 Smithville

Sealy downed La Grange 2-0 on Tuesday (April 20) in Sealy, and those teams square off again at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Weimar in a one-game second-place District 25-3A playoff.

Sealy and La Grange closed district with identical 7-3 league marks, so a playoff is needed to decide which team advances to the Class 3A Region IV playoffs as the district runner-up, and the other as the No. 3 seed.

No matter what happens in Friday's district playoff, Sealy and La Grange will advance into the regional bracket.

As 25-3A champ, Giddings receives a first-round playoff bye.
