After either a double overtime or triple overtime win over Stephenville!! That was fun.

Since you bring this up, I have always thought that in the movie "The Rookie" when the anouncer says "Owls win, Owls win, Owls win, Owls win" this is where Jimmy Morris got that line. .. just wondering

Instead of sending Anderson to the plate, Lasorda inserted Gibson as his pinch hitter. Gibson hobbled up to the plate with Scully commenting, "Look who's coming up!" Gibson quickly got behind in the count, 0–2, but received two outside pitches from Eckersley and fouled off a pitch to work to a 2–2 count. On the sixth pitch of his at bat – a ball – Davis stole second." Vince Scully

"then you would run for Gibson and have Sax batting. But, we have a big 3–2 pitch coming here from Eckersley. Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw!" Jack Buck

Not necessarily a great call, but I found it really funny. Don Meredith was doing color during the broadcast of a Cowboys' game. The Boys kicked a field goal and Don states profoundly, " Well, they would rather have had a touchdown." I've just always found that the height of stating the obvious. Not one of his finest moments. That was a million years ago, and some of you children may not remember that Dandy Don was a former Dallas Cowboys' QB!
