From what ive seen of Robinson they are pretty good. They have a nice assortment of pitchers and some good batters to back it up. Overall they are a nice solid team.

Which team is the biggest surprise? This ranking is a little different than the max prep ranking.

Lol Robinson. They were not the in pre-season top 25 and weren't given much thought but now are number 1

Sinton team is still inconsistant but improving as the season moves along and just seem to kick into another level once they play against 3a teams.

Daddy D 11 . . .

They (Robinson) have three tournament wins, beaten #5 Giddings & #10 West twice. They have given up more than 4 runs only once in 18 games.
Oh and they have beaten everyone they have played up to this point. So I would say to make a comment like they aren't that good . . . You may be right . . . but you don't have much to back up that statement.

I am not sure how you can make that comment, their resume is pretty good.

Bring some facts

If they are the #1 team in the state this year then it is a down year. I wasn't too terribly impressed, by no means am I bashing them. They got a real solid club, I'm just saying I wasn't wowed at all. I'd bet they don't even get to their region title game.

That very well may be. They were beaten by the eventual state champs last year in the third round. Robinson is a solid club and the odds that they will eventually lose a game or two are way up there. You have to have a lot of luck along the way to make deep playoff runs. It all depends on how "the ball bounces". Continued Good Luck to the Rockets!

A lot of the players in Jasper are saying their record is 16-'Hester'. Because their only losses are to the same team (Vidor) and same pitcher (obviously named Hester).

Wow! I knew Farmersville had some pretty good athletes but I had no idea the baseball team was doing this good. I guess I should get involved in supporting them on the diamond as well as on the turf. In 12 years of living in Farmersville I have never gone to a baseball game. Does this dismiss me as a REAL fan?

Robinson defeated Lorena 6-0 Friday night to go to 19-0 on the year and 2-0 in district 19-3A. This unimpressive team is still undefeated! Go Rockets!

You were right it was "interesting on Friday night"! I think it proved that Sinton did not deserve to be ranked that high, not Robstown!
