Minnesota voted against this? If I'm correct, this rule came around because they didn't get a shot in overtime to go to the Super Bowl vs the Saints. Why would they be against it?

Not true. FG's do count. The other team will just get the ball. They will then either have to score a TD to win or kick a FG to tie. If they do neither the team that kicked the FG will win.

Still didn't accomplish much. If a team wins the toss and gets to receive and move down the field for a td it still wins and the other team has no chance at the ball.

I don't know why they just didn't implement the NCAA overtime rules seems like that would make a lot more sense

On the other hand it sure would make fantasy football that much more exciting...or frustrating, depending on which side you are on.:)

That's true but youre talking about a league that has considered adding games to the season. To me that seems like stats don't matter so much to them

I agree also, but give them the ball at the 35 instead of 25. I like each team having the chance to score...
