Just in case some folks don't have Facebook (!)

There is a short brick backstop and there will be netting to protect the fans. Suppose to be ready by next Tuesday.

It is gonna look great once it's all done!

When I left for work this morning it looked like they had finally finished all of the awning. :2thumbsup

Now begins the installation of seats. I believe the plan is for the seating behind home plate to be individual rows of seats and 1st & 3rd base will have bleacher type seating, with a few rows having back support.

Hope the weather cooperates!

Hey P4S when do you think the first home game will be. I have heard if things work out that it will be April 1 against Ingleside (no April Fool's Day pun intended).

Now Sinton can be really proud of our facilities to be one of the best looking ones in the coastal bend area with great winning tradition   and attract more playoffs games here . Now they need to finish Pirate Stadium in time for graduation. :)

Just wondering if they have a recliner w/P4S's name on it in the press box.;)

Varsity will follow up JV game, so sometimes that will lead to the games starting anywhere between 6:30-7pm

Finally....a HOME game! :D Everything isn't all finished up, but most of it is so we have home games until we have to play Falfurrias again. :cheerl:

Everyone should come out and enjoy a game or two in the next coming weeks. Our field really IS impressive.

Excuse the mess though and watch your step. :)

GOOD LUCK SLP!

It is looking great. I don't think the middle seats will be up yet tonight but there are pleanty of great seats on the sides. This is going to be a great historical night and I am getting there early today.

Last night they had a concession stand table by one of the stands. I think when they work on the baseball field they are going to have a concession stand between the two fields.

I guess they are going to make us walk off those nachos and frito pies. Makes sense, I suppose.

Made a trip to Sinton last evening to see the Ingleside-Sinton softball game.

The improvements to the field are VERY NICE indeed!

Hopefully we will all get another chances in the playoffs. I would love for the two teams to play again especially since the distance between the two cities is short and a long travel could be avoided. Of course both teams still have 6 district games left and nowadays none of them are any give me's because on any given night.

I think we have one of the best not only in the coastal bend area but within many miles. Our baseball facilities are also going to be terrific as well as our football field. Both sides will be expanded plus I was told they were going to build a separate press box for the visiting side on their side of the stadium which will be great for them.

I think Pirate Field will be finished enough for graduation. It probably won't be 100 per cent but enough for the ceremonies.
