I think Villanova had suspended two players from starting. They probably played though.

Now you see why I was so nervous when Sam Houston State played Texas in football a few years ago. They are good.

These are some very close games for the first round. If this is an indication of the whole tournament this is going to be very nerve racking but very fun.

Huge mistake by the ref not to call a travel on Baylor when they went up 4 but in the end Sam Houston could not hit the 3's and Baylor moves on.

I have no sympathy for Texas. Make a stinkin' free throw and you win in regulation, not to mention the blown free throws at the end of OT. No excuse for that.

lol yeah seemed to be a continuing theme throughout the whole season and ended up costing them a loss in the tourney.

Yeah, I was talking about how they lost this game down the stretch. Even as bad as they played the game in all other aspects they still could have won with just a few free throws.

a million problems? idk.......they were very good for the first 17 games..........i would venture to say something disrupted the team chemistry around january which led to the problems. texas had and has talent.

I'm 7-0 today so far as long as Pitt wins out (20 pts ahead with 1:48 left in the game) and 8-0 if A&M wins.
:):)

This makes up for the 8-8 I went yesterday on my bracket.

Really good job by the Ags in this one. I liked a lot of what Middleton, Holmes, and Lebeau did in this one. Sloan and Davis did not have the greatest games but they really didnt need to. I look forward to the second round game agaisnt Purdue.

The Big 12 is now 5-1 in the tourney with Texas being the only loser to this point.

It's good to see that some of the other guys can step up when they need to. That could help them on Sunday and later

It could really help them out for that game Sunday without a doubt. I just like the fact that the younger players stepping up in the NCAA tourney.
