I agree giving North Texas the 15th seed was crap and giving Houston the 13th shows how much they see in UNT and this will just fire up Jones and the team even more!

also Rhode Island deserved to be in there and VT as well

My bold first round predictions:

Sam Houston and Houston both get blown out and proves what a horrible job the selection comittee did this year..

Seriously the Cougars, who finished 19-15, lost to great teams such as SMU (14-17), UCF (15-17), Tulane (8-22) and UTSA.. give me a break

I agree, Duke being a 1 seed is a joke and even more of a joke is that they got put in the easiest region. Sorry if any Duke fans on here but it is true. They played no one all year long.

Did Houston not win their conference tournament? I thought they did. So they would get an automatic spot on the NCAA tournament.

7 teams from Big XII. I am not sure how many will be left after first round,

Not making a case that they shouldn't make it.. I'm saying a 15 or 16 seed is a little more fitting

Texas (the state) ties a record for most teams from a single state in NCAA tournament recrod with 7 teams

all three of those will probably be gone. I like who A&M gets since Purdue has looked terrible lately.

Purdue lost their best player for the season recently, that's why the sudden drop off

Yep..that Minnesota game yesterday was hard to watch.

I have a gut feeling that Baylor will make a deep run. And if Texas gets by Wake, they could give Kentucky some problems...just a hunch.

Team was not healthy AT ALL this season. When they did get all the players back, they won 4 games in 4 days, including wins over ranked UTEP and Memphis to get in. UH's record might not deserve a 13, but the way they were playing at the end of the season is good enough to be the 13 seed.

Villanova is the best team they would have to play i think. Duke is way overrated and doesn't match up well at all with Baylor. Not to mention, Duke might lose to Lousville before they get deep into the tournament, Duke has proven to choke early the past few years.

Houston is only in because they won the conference, right?

that's not the committee's fault

if you wanted to complain about the ones left out (V-tech and Miss. St obviously should be in the tourney) look at the real bubble teams, the non-conference winners in the 11-13 range.

Duke won't lose to Louisville, but as a duke fan i do think that Baylor will be a problem for them. Either way, if duke loses i will just root for the other texas teams like i always do anyway

I am a big duke fan and i still agree with you. They should've been a 2 seed. Of course, they would be if Villanova and the other possible #1's (texas and purdue included) hadn't collapsed in the last month, for various reasons.

I do think this is the best Duke team in at least 4-5 years, and they do have enough size and defense to be able to make a run, but they should've been making that run from the 2 seed (7-8 overall).

They did have some nice wins (#1 RPI for stretches of the season) but they should've been able to win the ACC outright.

I also have Baylor in the Final Four, their guard play will cause matchup problems for Duke and I think Baylor could beat Villanova.

if we make the final 4 i'd be ecstatic but all yall should remember that baylor hasnt won an NCAA tourney game in 50 or 60 years...as a baylor fan i'd be happy w/ a trip to the sweet 16, anything beyond that is gravy...

also we play zone...a hot shooting night by any team can sink us, even SHSU...

again, not complaining about them being in.. Complaining about where they are seeded. They are a team who should be a 15 or 16 seed based on their resume

I think that they should just do away with all of the conference tournaments anyways. But I guess as long as they make money off of them then they will always have them.

Texas A&M should make it to the Sweet 16 to face Duke, as long as they play as well as they have through conference. At this point, an eight minute goose-egg like the Kansas game will give a game away though.

They got Baylor to the round of 32 and A&M to Sweet 16. I dont really think they gave each team much of a chance. The Big 12 in my opinion the is best and deepest conferences in America along with the Big East. I give both teams a legit shot if they come to play.

i see 1s & 3s in every bracket except with the Syracuse region....see them and K-State both making it.

as for Duke, they have been getting better every game for the past 5 weeks or so...i think they are going to surprise a lot of people on this thread. IF(BIG IF) Duke beats A&M and Baylor, i wouldnt be surprised to see them beat Kentucky and get into the championship game.

i would LOVE to see my Horns get back their rhythm against Kentucky, if this game were played in December, Texas probably would have beaten them. as it stands now, they will be lucky to get by Wake Forest.

I think K-State can beat Syracuse, making the left side of the bracket an All-Kansas matchup.

IMO, all the #1 seeds in the NIT should have been in the NCAA. terrible job by the selection committee in both who they picked, and where they placed them.

As a Sam Houston State Alum I will cheer for my Bearkats. Everyone discussing the bracket gives Sam no chance, but I don't think Baylor will walk away with it. If it is close late, Sam could be a Cinderella.

My Final Four are Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova and Kansas State.

After seeing Sam Houston barely get by Nicholls State in the SLC tournament, I'm conviced that the Bearkats will lose by 20 to Baylor

if yall are knocking down 3s and we make a bunch of careless turnovers like we are prone to do every once and a while then it will be close
