As much as I hate what Wise does I just hope people don't blame the kids 16 17 and 18 year old kids just doing what their told. Most 16,17,18 year olds I know want to score as many as they can its just part of it that is when you need a responsible adult to step in be the mature person and do the right thing. Wise is not that person but I dont fault the kids at all I congratulate all the kids because they are a remarkable group.

It wouldn't have been possible at all if they didn't have the talent to do it. This was probably a "once in a lifetime" type team. Not too sure I can blame him for that effort. You can bet the team members will be highly recruited.

I don't see what everybody is complaining about? I'm happy for these kids and Wise is a good coach. They brought the community and city of Houston together through this basketball team. So before some of you go bad mouthing you all need to do some research. This was a once and lifetime type team that was pushed to high goals.Great job Yates!!! Its 2010. That's just how sports are now.

I would hope they win state since they are basically a houston area all star team....i believe they have 7 recruits i mean "transfers"

if im not mistaken i think i read how one night after running up the score there was a scuffle in the parkin lot between fans where shots were fired??? No one was hurt but seriously is that how you bring the city of Houston together? Sounds odd to me, Wise is just a jerk and he needs to be taught how to show some respect to other STUDENT athletes and coaches around the area not to mention his own, he did his boys a dishonesty by not teaching them respect and good sportsmanship, he is a coach and a romodel for those kids...he got them a state title but all the coaches i remember from high school were the ones who taught me life lessons and how to be respectful and have good sportsmanship!

Congrats Yates!! If you are going to be upset with anyone, be upset with the coach. Not the kids. The kids are only doing what their coach tells them to do.

This game was amazing. Lancaster played there tails off. The whole tourney was a bit of drag until this game. The run Yates went on at the end was one of the best things I have ever seen live. Joseph Young with his Willis Reed impression comes out of the tunnel after passing out and drills two threes. Then Brandon Peters climbs the ceiling to get an ally oop and dunk over someone. Awesome stuff Yates. I was rooting against you they were truely amazing.

wise played 10-15 guys. the guys played 100% hard the entire game. he conditioned his players like few do and the kids BOUGHT INTO HIS SYSTEM. add 3-4 d one players.....and i'd also have to say well done to the PLAYERS. now, about those huge lopsided scores.......that's on the coach...
