state team tennis tournament

time again for the 3a TTCA state team tennis tournament, this year in and around San Marcos.

Tournament seeds 1. Wylie, 2. Warton, 3. Boerne, 4. Wimberley, 5. Vernon, 6. Lucas Lovejoy, 7. La Feria, 8. Kaufman.

Wylie has an incredible streak going ...

if i remember correctly I think tennis started at Wylie in 94 ... and they've been to state every year ... the past 10 years they have been in the finals ... really incredible winning percentage ...

wylie plays wimberly in the semis tomorrow morning ... not sure who the other semi is, i think wharton vs boerne?

Is it just 3A schools that do team tennis in the spring?

I think it's in the Spring because 3A team tennis is TTCA and not UIL. I might have that wrong, though.

4A & 5A team tennis is run by the UIL ... 3A and below is run by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association ... 4A & 5A is in the fall, 3A & below is in the spring ... that's just for team tennis ... individual tennis is all run by the UIL and happens in april/may.

That is impressive! wtg Wylie. What Wylie has done since 2002 is amazing.

Van also qualified btw. Lost to Lovejoy & Bellville. Beat Robinson & Center. Van qualified in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010.
