Grass fields safer than turf fields?

I think turf should be mandatory in all stadiums.

I believe there are now more stadiums with field turf than when that study was made.
I do remember a poll amongst NFL players said they preferred field turf over grass.

Yeah, it's not like the old days when they just spread a turf over asphalt. Today's turf is MUCH softer. I remember when players got hurt because of potholes under the turf!:eek: In rainy environments, it is much better to have field turf for obvious reasons.

I know75% of all ACL injuries, that I have personally witnessed, have occured on Field Turf. I would say that only 40-50% of the games that I have watch occur on turf,so yes it is higher, but I do not know that it would sway my opinion that turf is superior to grass. I feel that continued advances can be made to enhance player saftey and reduce injuries. Lets stick with turf.
