He was on Little House on the Prairie and Father Murphy.

He also still holds the Ram's record for career tackles-915
He was a member of the Ram's "Fearsome Foursome"

He always seemed like a nice guy...off the field that is. He was also a pretty good color commentary guy on NBC brodcasts, back in the day.

I really don't remember him playing, but some of the highlights of him and Bubba Smith were just awesome. He seemed like a standup guy, someone you could use as an example for your kids.

He was a member of the Ram's "Fearsome Foursome" Ah yes, Father Murphy was what I was thinking of, heck of a football player and actor, he was one of the few NFL players that was successful at both, Alex Karras was another one successful at both, others have tried, but with limited success.

According to Fox News he had been diagnosed with mesothelioma about a year ago. He was 69. What a shame because this guy was Mr. Class on and off the field.
