1st game: Giddings 13 Caldwell 3
WP Brooks Marlow, Mason Becker pitched a couple of innings, bats strong with several more HR's added to this yrs tally (Ty Marlow and I believe Trey Masek had two this game)

2nd game: Giddings 7 Houston Westside 5A - 2

WP Trey Masek..........no hits but two walks and defensive errors gave Westside their runs in the 2nd inning. Game remained scoreless with Giddings unable to get runners in scoring position until 6th inning. Lead off (#9 hole) on base with walk, No outs and runner on 2nd, the bats did their work.

Good test for the Buffs, Westside had a good team but Masek was dominating once again on the mound. 2nd inning was not good for the Buffs but they finally settled in defensively (FYI w/o their normal line up on the defense side) Masek was getting lots of cat calls from the opposing dug out but methodically took care of business (good test also for Trey when he has to pitch against the Aggies in the future LOL)

Good job....Vinson Gonzales (outstanding bunt), Mason Becker as a soph is stepping up big and Trevor Absnaider has made a big improvement with his hitting. Way to go guys.

Game tonight Saturday @ 7:30 pm, not sure who Buffs play but think it is winner of Sealy vs Sweeny.
