This was a the Bell Rivals Baseball Tournament hosted by Cameron/Rockdale

Robinson 14 Giddings 4 in final game Saturday night.

Giddings overmatched in pitching and Buffs offensively did not produce to help out their JV pitchers. Hard to score on those HR's when there are no base runners. Some defensive issues but starters out or moved around into unfamiliar positions led to this. Confident that Buffs are strong defensively although you might question that after watching this game.

Robinson pitcher did an outstanding job and Rockets took full advantage of the walks that Buffs pitching gave up, producing runs.

Can't ever seem to make it through victorious in a tournament and beat Robinson, I think this makes three years in a row. We started out just like this last year, even struggling against some private school teams early on...but we ended up doing pretty good so Buffs just keep working. Pitch by Pitch..........still.

Ty Marlow, Trey Masek, Rush Plumlee named to all Tournament Team, next up Sealy Tournament (?) unless we forfeit to watch our girls play basketball.

FYI Rocket Dad.........tell your fans/kids/whomever that we really really appreciate the spray painted message on the back of the bus at the Rockdale Tournament. don't appreciate the vandalism but It was sure the truth.

Nicely scribed "WE SUCK" spray painted on the back door of the bus.

&& after getting run ruled, the Giddings boys sure knew it.

Everbody needs a good dose of losing so that you always keep in mind how much you want to win.

Good win for Robinson, keep the bats going and your pitching (if that is what you have left in the tank after 4 games re: Mr. #13) then you are in great shape for the season.

Giddings will be fine, just don't have a #5 pitcher of the caliber that was needed to pull this one off plus from your Momma, you have got to swing the bat!!!!!!
Keep up the hard work and maybe keep traveling in that bus, it will be a good reminder to leave it all on the field.

One thing I left out about the Rockdale Tournament. I would like to give a "high five" to the team from Sharpstown. They were overmatched big time but they kept playing and their coaches kept coaching in a positive way the whole time. They were also out there playing with little to no long underwear (most in short sleeved jerseys) in very cold conditions and without one parent in the stands. Many in the dugouts and your opposition's fans noticed your perseverance and you should be proud of yourselves for participating in a sport at your high school. I know there weren't any wins but you are winners for putting together a team and trying.:clap: :clap: :clap:
