NOT 3A but better than nothing

DeBose from Lampasas threw 160'1" last week at Marble Falls - and that was his FIRST throw.

Way not 3A, but "nephew" Dusty Jonas, ex-Husker high jump champ, jumped 7' 7" at the USATF Championships this weekend and qualified for the World Championships. So proud of him and his accomplishments!:cheerl: :cheerl: :cheerl:

You're right about that Crabman. My mind isn't real sharp today. Went to Norman, Okla. to watch his sister, Aimee, compete in the pentathlon for UTSA in their conference meet this weekend. She did very well! So there is another 3A LaVernia Bear being successful in T & F after high school.:D

Not high school but my 7th grade 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay won first at our meet Friday night. Not bad considering it was their first track meet.

Their time in the 4x100 was 50.27
Their time in the 4x200 was 1:50.00

Ya gotta luv those 7th graders in their first meets. Just getting them from one event to the next is an accomplishment. Glad they had a great first experience.:D :D

my 7th grader ran a 8.55 in the 2400 and a 5.46 in the 1600. I think he left a lot on the table.

I had a triple jumper go 45' 2" this week. Real good for this time of year.

UT freshman and former Whitesboro Bearcat, Hayden Baillio, is currently 6th in the nation (shot put) with a best of 62'-7.25" That also puts him 5th all time at UT for indoor competition.
