Question about Gobbler History

Who remembers the names of the junior high and JV teams of long ago? I know there were Eggs, and Turklets, but which grades did those represent and what were the others? Any idea how long ago that was in place?

BTW, I'm very happy everyone is now @$$ Kickin' Chickens aka Gobblers and no longer Eggs. We just had this discussion at lunch and it made me wonder..

Back in the "dark ages" when I was in Jr High - the 7th grade team were the EGGSHELLS - 8th grade were the TURKLETS and the Freshman were the TOMS - I graduated in 76 - btw I love the A&& Kicking Chickens myself :)

Thanks! I knew you would know! Eggshells just makes me crack up, pun intended. It is my personal belief that Cuero is historically good because, when your mascot is poultry, you have something to prove. After awhile, it just became a habit.
