He was a good coach for pecos, actually had the program headin the right way. Pecos really messed up with this one.

Yes and I think they have a real nice stadium for a HS football
team that has never won anything.

well.....the 2nd article paints a totally different picture. it makes the superintendent look like a .............douche. somebody that has his panel of yes-men that he wants in place. ive never heard of a school district hiring a supt and his first order of business is replacing an athletic director.

I just read an article that said Kermit let the Sup go.

It was probably one of those deals like, "we don't want you, but if you resign we won't have to fire you."

Sounds like he drug the politics that Kermit didn't like to Pecos with him!!

Lujan is an idiot! Most people in Kermit would have helped him pack. The word all along with west texas coaches was that he was going to bring the "Mormon Messiah" Gary Grubbs with him to Pecos from Kermit. Henson is a good coach and disciplinarian. Pecos noticeably plays smarter and harder since he has been there. Getting rid of him would be a huge mistake. Hopefully Pecos cans Lujan (or he excuses himself) and allows Henson to stay. His wife is a very supportive and nice lady as well. Most people in Kermit don't care for Grubbs either.
