The Buccaneers petitioned to drop to Class 3A after they requested to stay in Class 4A, Just wondering if anyone heard if the UIL allowed them to drop. If so they would be placed in District 31-3A along with West Oso, Robstown, Raymondville, Orange Grove, and Zapata

Miller came in with 3A numbers but requested to stay 4A. guess they had a change of heart.

they requested to stay 4A because CCISD was going to move the districting around, which would have given them about 3-400 more students than they currently have. CCISD decided to table that move for at least one more year, so Miller was left out in the cold with 3A numbers.

Another reason for the change was because at the time the request to stay was because the district was deciding to build another high school and came up with new zoning regulations in the city to even out the numbers at all schools due to overcrowding at Carroll and King, Miller would've gained more students and came up with 4A numbers. Now the school board is saying it won't take into effect after 2012. Its a big mess over there

It is always a big mess over there. I'm betting they don't get it done before 2015.

Corpus has to be the worst city in Texas. The only thing they care about is their bayfront. If it can't happen on the bayfront it ain't happenin.

Which is why I had to move away. Corpus has been given opportunities to expand their city with big city businesses that wanted to move in, but nope they want to focus on their sewage filled bayfront. I am glad I moved to San Antonio and I have a feeling that as other college students graduate from around that area, they will be moving on out as well.

If they do drop, they would be sent south with West Oso, right?

Yep, They are lucky they won't be with Rockport, Sinton, Ingleside and Mathis they would've been the doormat of the district

CC Miller is going to be the doormat no matter what district they are in. Ingleside has played them the last three years and beat them all three times. Their team actually had some noticeable talent but their is absolutely zilch in fan support. Those boys may have only 200 fans show up at their home games. Less when they play out of town. It seems the Miller players just give up. No one to cheer them on. It is a real shame.
