I'd try big newspapers from the area your looking for. chronicle.com, mysa.com (San Antonio), Dallas Morning News, Corpus Christi Caller-Times, etc.

Sproul hit a homerun that you didn't mention and I'm pretty sure Leath had 4 hits.

The first pitcher from Georgewest was a girl named Maggie. Pitched 4 innings and when she left score was 7 to 3. She was supposed to be top pitcher in area. Goliads pitcher was a freshman and had 13 strikeouts, a school record I think.

Yep, you're right - Sproul had the solo shot right over the CF fence leading off the 4th inning!

However, on Leath..her 3rd at-bat was an E-5. I realize everyone scores differently but I'm sticking with that. Still, Leath had an AWESOME game at the plate! :D

With these high scoring games, is the pitching that bad or the defense bad. Hard to beleive that the hitters are that good, I cannot remember a high scoring game in softball that was not full of bad pitching and full of errors.

They will get stronger as soon as basketball is over, 3 starters missing right now. Pitching will carry them early, 2 strong pitchers.

In Liberty Hill's case, the Lady Panthers have their other REALLY strong pitcher (Kourtney Bevers), as well as a backup pitcher, playing basketball..

In the Del Valle game, LH starting pitcher Paige Holland would have been replaced in the 7th inning and not given up so many runs (6) in the 7th if the LHHS squad was at full strength.

When that happens, Holland and Bevers are going to be a VERY STRONG 1-2 punch off the mound for coach Charice Hankins..again, JMHO
