Correct me if I'm wrong, but WH loses to Forney and moves up in the rankings????

That doesn't seem quite right...

Wilmer is way, way over-rated. IMHO they are not even a top 30 team. They are a very sloppy team.

Aransas Pass lost a district game to unranked Sinton last nite 59-57. Whomever's poll this is should have West Oso WAY above Aransas Pass (or is it AP WAY below WO?)!

Wilmer should not be in the top 15. But they are good enough to be in the top 30 in 3A. You probably saw them play a bad game.

Kountze got a scare last night from Orangefield. Even though Kountze still won by 13, Orangefield outscored them in the second half. This is a big moral boast for Orangefield. You may ask how is a loss a moral boast, well Orangefield has never been successful in basketball. The last time I think OF was in the playoffs in boys basketball was around 1978, so staying with the #1 team in the state is a plus for this team. Good Job guys, now go take it to rival Bridge City on Friday.

I have seen The Hutch play more than one bad game. They do have some talent but if they do make it to the playoffs, they wont get far.

Probably the poll hasn't been updated yet. West Oso and Aransas Pass play a district game next Tuesday (January 27) so a better comparison between the two should become obvious.

Also that poll may have also had Sinton underrated.

That was the first time I have ever seen a team play to lose heck why not just forfiet and not have any points scored against you. That was the worst display of a coaches lack of confidence in his team I have ever witnessed.

Why don't you go get your degree and start coaching since you have all of the answers?

That was the worst display of a coaches lack of confidence in his team I have ever witnessed.Hey here's an idea. Why don't you go get your degree and start coaching since you have all of the answers? After reading some of the quotes from the OF players, they said this was the most fun basketball game they have ever played. I don't think it was a lack of confidence on the coaches part, I think it was more of reality. Think about it. Did OF really stand a chance it that game? Of course not. If they played 100 times, Kountze would will all 100 in my opinion. So what the coach did was told his players to have fun, and that's exactly what they did. It seems they frustrated Kountze. The OF coach was even quoted after the game saying that his players had fun and that he hoped that Kountze would go on and win state now. So I think it was a great confidence builder for the OF players.
