Might be a great idea. Texas could play OU and A&M in non-conference games.

 I have a question..... Why is more revenue generated by the Big Ten as opposed to the Big 12? The Big 12 is more popular with a bigger fan base, and has better football....

the main reason is that most of the football venues have huge attendence figures. Not to mention other big draw sports like Hockey, Womens Volleyball, etc.

I dont really see much substance to this. I think if the Big 10 goes for a team from the Big 12 it would be Mizzou or Iowa St, with TCU moving into the Big 12

Texas should go independent, if ND can do it, anyone can

Hmmmm:thinking: could this be an attempt to get $$ from Big XII. I just don't know how well these kids will handle the cold. Interesting.

How about the big 12 boot Mizzou and Colorado and add TCU and Arkansas :D

The thought of UT going to the Big 10 makes me physically ill. First the demise of the original Southwest Conference and now talk of some foreign conference that is out of our geographic area!! NOOOOO!! I like the scenario that has Colo. and Mizzou leaving the Big 12 and TCU and Ark. coming in. Let it be!! Amen!!

I could see Texas doin the SEC thing but not the Big 10.

Texas would be to the Big 10 what USC was to the PAC 10

TV....huge markets and also their own network. Leads to more revenue sharing.

Honestly, the entire NCAA should be reformatted. Move teams around, replace schools in large conferences that are normally horrible and bring in some teams like TCU, Boise State and make Notre Dame join in somewhere. Maybe get rid of some conferences

they should do a re-allignment every 4 years or so like the UIL.....

how about something like four super conference that play playoffs 2 rounds or one round to determine the champions.....the four champions meet in a national championship plays leading up to a championship game.

i know this might affect other sports so maybe it can be done for football only.

That would make the Big 12 better than the SEC.

Would be alot of fun!

Would be alot of fun! I would love to see Texas play Arkansas every year and TCU as well. Arkansas is getting better and better and would bring a large fan base to the Big 12. Colorado is an outsider, they are so far out of the way and would be better to have them in the PAC 10 or Mountain West.

Big 12
Texas
Oklahoma
Texas Tech
Texas A&M
Kansas
Kansas State
Oklahoma State
Iowa State
Nebraska
Baylor
TCU
ARKANSAS

Send Colorado to the Pac and give Mizzou to the Little 10

Arkansas is a stout team in the SEC...but not a title contender in football....maybe some years basketball, baseball and track.

you add Arkansas and TCU and you just add too more teams that are wins for OU and Texas.

The Big XII is a better basketball conference than football..........the conference is dominanted by Texas and OU with every year other some team presenting them a slight challenge.

Give Arkansas playing time in Texas and Texas schools will suffer with recruiting. It happened in the old SWC and will happen again if Arkansas is given the chance.
