our receptionist's son just called and said it was "like a blizzard" in Dallas. She thought he was exaggerating.. I guess he wasn't ;)

It's snowing sometimes, and sleeting others, here in Kilgore. My brother says it's mostly snow up in Gilmer. There's already some accumulation......probably an 1" or so.... I hope we get at least 6" so I can build a snowman with my daughters this evening.:)

Measured 8 1/2" at slpybear's when I was there before 2 pm, and it's still snowing steadily. Supposed to snow until about midnight. No school today here in Bridgeport, and I don't think anyone in the county was open either. School tomorrow is looking pretty doubtful....and I am perfectly okay with that. :D

I think this is the fourth separate winter precipitation we've had this winter--Christmas Eve, New Year's, a day off in January, and now this. This is really some kind of winter, no?

We have about 6 inches now and it is still snowing heavily.

It was funny at school today. When they announced we were letting out early, my students went crazy. You would have thought they had just won the lottery!

Tomorrow morning is going to be very dangerous.

It's been fun, but I'm ready for spring and summer myself. Those dang yankees need to keep this crap up there where it belongs. :D
