I know this is a 3A forum but the 2A people are having a fit. Wanting to divide the classification up into 2 divisions eliminated more teams in the playoffs than increased it. The percentages dropped when they created so many 7 and 8 team districts while only taking 2 teams from each district.

I agree they voted for it. 3A voted against it. They wanted to do this 2 years ago. They even ran an example our District would have been 2-3A.
Brownwood, Graham, Snyder, Wylie, Sweetwater with only 2 teams getting out. If it would have passed Graham would not have got out with a record of 9-1. Because of points Wylie would have been #1 seed and Brownwood won head to head. That would not have been a good deal. Graham played in the State Championship game. 4A & 5A let 4 schools in each District.

Yes they did vote for it but they did not say that they were going to form all 7 and 8 team districts.

I agree very large Districts. I thought there were more negatives then positives to come out of the big / sm dist. I wished we would just add another classification.
