There are several great stadiums in 3A and The Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater is certainly a great one. I hear that Mineral Wells has fantastic facilities but my personal favorite is Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood.

Are they going to put "Falcons" in one of the end zones at City Bank Stadium in Forney?

My preference:
1. Hirschi
2. Sweetwater
3. Mineral Wells
4. Athens
5. Celina
6. Brownwood
7. Gladewater
8. Creekview
9. North Forney
10. Navasota
11. Princeton

I like stadiums that are bowls and I do not like tracks because it pushes you farther from the action.

they already put Falcons in one end...

For those who have never seen Sweetwater's Mustang Bowl, here is a link to a slideshow, made this past year at the completion of renovations. Not a bad seat in the house, and your always right on top of the action. We wouldnt trade it for any other in the state.

Celina's should not be in the top 10. It isn't bad but it isn't great either. The only really good thing about it is there is no track. The stands are too low, bathrooms are circa 1950 (not 1960) and the concession stands need major updates. When you kick extra points or field goals on the south end, you run the risk of losing your football. If the creek is running, it will sweep it away pretty fast.

Hmmmm:thinking: , so are you telling us that Celina has a case of the lost balls syndrome?

I love Sweetwater's Mustang Bowl! :inlove:

I do think all the improvements at the Wylie stadium are great, though. Of course, very few people from Sweetwater were able to check out all our new new stuff last year. :(

I like Gordon Wood Stadium, too....especially the tunnel and the big production!

Hirschi and North Forney dont count since they share...but I like both those places.

Gladewater is very nice and its not that new but its great...also heard Groesbeck's is nice but I've never seen pics...I think they dropped to 2A though

Yes they do and it is very nice. The only thing that is odd is they moved the bleachers from the old stadium (dump) to the visitors side. The home side is beautiful with great stands but the visitor side is only about 5 or 6 high and VERY small. They must have run out of money.
