Gilmer has the easiest schedule.........:D

Pre-district:
Tatum, Atlanta, Liberty-Eylau, Jacksonville, and Daingerfield

District 16-3A:
Henderson, Gladewater, Spring Hill, Carthage, and Pittsburg

 Wait a minute............NO they don't!! :D

Based on the past couple of years, and even further back, you could be right. Both Gilmer and Carthage lose a lot of players from last year. Henderson loses their QB who was their best player. Pittsburg loses their best running back, but returns their QB Manley. Really, you never know how it will end up, but at first glance it does look like a very tough district. I guess the UIL wanted to make sure there wasn't 2 state champions from East Texas again........:D .........but, if Henderson doesn't make the playoffs, there is still that possibility because Carthage is the 2nd largest school. The only way Gilmer would go D1 is if Spring Hill and Gladewater make the playoffs.....which I don't see happening in this district.

Sweetwater has the easiest non-district schedule followed by
the toughest district schedule.

Yeah but maybe we can have a little confidence going into district play.

Celina. You won't find any Daingerfields in their predistrict schedule this year and that cakewalk of a district makes it the easiest.
I will go ahead and predict their average margin of victory will be >35 points.

That would be great. Honestly I see 5-5 as a real possibility.

Vernon - Winnable
@ Monahans - Ouch :(
Levelland - Winnable
@ Early - Winnable
Midland Greenwood - Cake walk :D
@ Midland Christian - Winnable

Wylie - Ugh! Stupid Sandifer!
@ Big Spring - ??? - depends on how much they have returning
Snyder - Winnable
@ Brownwood - Well, atleast I'll get to eat at Humphrey Pete's.

Not LE, only thing even close to easier would be 2A Paul Pewitt replacing North Lamar. Pewitt is usually making big playoff runs every year so not even sure that game is easier.

I want to cast a vote for Taylor HS getting "shafted." Maybe not so much for their district alignment but for their travel the next 2 years.

The Ducks are on the east side of IH-35 and have to travel across 35 to get to its district rivals (including Salado, which is right off I-35 but is still north and west). They also have to travel west for district games against LH, Lampasas, Burnet, Llano.

Travel safe, Ducks and Lady Ducks!

Gotta agree here! Hands down...Celina has the easiest district schedule in the state! Depending upon who they schedule in pre-district (I think they learned their lesson the last couple of seasons) they will schedule lesser opponents and will have the easiest schedule in all of Texas and go 10-0 in the playoffs before getting knocked out in the first round next year! :stirpot:
