atlanta was d-1 last year why are they d-2 now?

Except for last year, Atlanta has been D2 all along. There are two larger schools in their district, but neither of them made the playoffs last year. The same thing happened to Longview Spring Hill this year. They are D1, with an enrollment of only 469.

Yeah, both Texarkana schools (Pleasant Grove and Liberty-Eylau) are bigger than Atlanta. But until this year, neither of them were good enough to make the playoffs.
