Hmmm:thinking: if they are this year district 30-3A can expect these teams to advance Ingleside, Mathis, Rockport Fulton, and Sinton Gonna a tough year but can't wait.

That would be Brownwood's only chance to make the playoffs in
there district.

Seriously though there is a four team district in Region I so I
doubt seriously that is true.

Go to the playoff brackets on uil site and it shows 32 teams each region. that means 4 teams a dist.

Three teams make it meaning 24 from each region.

Region 1 has 43 teams so 19 DON'T make it
Region 2 has 47 teams so 23 DON'T make it
Region 3 has 41 teams so 17 DON't make it
Region 4 has 48 teams so 24 DON't make it

Overall there are 179 schools that play football and 96 make the playoffs.

My mistake. I went back and checked again and only 32 teams in div 1. so that means just 3 teans in playoffs

look at 3a playoff bracket 3 teams make it 1 team goes to Div 1 and 2 go to Div 2. Div 1 has one less game in the playoffs.

So 4 teams? It does not really matter to me, I expect Brownwood to whip all those worthless teams in our district anyways, I was just hoping 4 teams go so those Wylie http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/ivan1961/th_531.gif (http://s358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/ivan1961/?action=view&current=531.gif) might have a chance to make the playoffs.... lol

After looking at some of the 2a districts, I just wonder how the superintendents will now feel about their decision to switch from 3 playoff teams to 2 playoff teams.

3A-D1 - 32 playoff teams
3A-D2 - 64 playoff teams

96 out of a total 183 football schools will qualify. (52.5%)

That's a higher percentage than the past 2 years when there were only 28 districts meaning 84 out of 177 qualified (47.5%)

I only counted 179 playing football. I counted kind of quick.
