Post Padding January is Over [Archive]

the month of January is over in a few hours and since we set a record for number of post padding posts(say that 10 times fast), I would like to say thanks. I think it was fun, although many mods and other posters would love to dsagree with me. I just wanna congratulate the people who made this possible:

You were just benched...not ejected (which is what we consider a ROM!) :D

I saw Brad McCoy at dinner tonight and he asked me if all the "post padding" was about him and I said "No Coach it is all about the January before re-alignment it's normally kinda slow". :D :D

Maybe you should take a few minutes and READ the rules page you agreed to. (The answer is on there.)

Benched- temporary ban
Ejected- permanent ban

I was asking why thee mods only consider a ban as a ROM but dont call being benched/suspended a ROM

Back in the day, when all we could do was boot someone, it was called a ROM.

When we were able to temporarily ban a person we decided to come up with a different term.

I guess it probably could be called a ROM either way, since it stands for READ ONLY MEMBER....but us oldtimers relate a ROM to a permanent ban.

I have to tell you, I got a kick out of "thee mods".....made me feel special!!:D

It was fitting that my post at 11:58 was the last of the month, and this is the start of a new era with the first post of February
