I think that Navasota will be hard pressed to be a top 20 team next year. Don't get me wrong, they will be okay, but alot of things have to happen for them to be the type team they have been the last two years. The defense should be pretty good at the start of the year, but the offense will have to fill alot of holes. Namely, the QB position will have to be filled and the player in that position will need to grow-up quick. The offensive line loses three college recruits that will be hard to replace since they were all three year starters. I think the running back situation will be okay as will the receivers. This year the Rattlers will go back to a passing spread that has less emphasis on the QB running and that will mean the younger o-line will need to grow-up in a hurry too. The potiential talent is there, it just depends on how quick they gel into a team.

I don't know where we will finish, but Lovejoy will go high into the playoffs. We return 8 on each side of the ball. We also return
all skill players, including our QB, over 4500 yds of offense. Our
JV lost 2 games and our frosh were undeafeated. I sincerely
expect us to do well, hopefully no serious injuries.

If La Marque drop so should El Campo and just as in 4 a they get no love or respect. But i think we play better that way any how

If Stephenville drops... they gotta be the consensus #1. Lovejoy will be salty. As much as it pains me to say, Brownwood will be a player and will be the team to beat out of our district (provided the district still looks something like it has the last two years). Wylie will be down a little, especially at the first of the year but will come on late in the season--a lot of holes to fill and a lot of 'coaching up' to do.... but our staff can do it. Should be an interesting year for sure!

OM, you certainly have Stephenville too low...they would be the number 1 team if they are in 3A and I think that Cuero would probably need to be in the top 4 (maybe number 2).

They are a top 5 team in 4A next year if they stay up. Im not sold completely on La Marque though just because of the struggles of the past few seasons

That really does not matter. Even though at last year's game, I was just blown away at how full the Jasper stands were. I
was on the opposite side running the chains and I was still deafened by them. It was amazing!

Jasper has my total respect (much more than Silsbee) but they've never beaten WO-S two years in a row EVER not to say that it won't ever happen. We need to have a M&G at the game this Fall.
