I remember my freshmen year we shut out our district...

56-0
57-0
50-0
41-0
42-0

In the 3rd round that year we beat Mathis 67-20, next round got a taste of our own medicine, delivered by Sealy, 31-0..

In our undefeated run in '87 we won 67-0 and a couple of other bad ones like that...

While I was on the field, though? We were beating Vanderbilt-Industrial 42-0 at halftime my junior year...

Beat Goliad 49-0 my Senior year...

I think Sealy holds the cake, though, with their whupping of Newton...

In 1989, Jasper beat Cleveland 82-0. It was 41-0 after the first quarter and 55-0 at halftime. The clock never stopped in the 2nd half unless there was a timeout. The Bulldogs outgained the Indians something like 550 to -45 and held them without a first down the entire game. At the time, I thought it was great, but now it doesn't mean anything. We were in the top 5 in the state at the time and thought it might be one of the better teams Jasper had ever fielded and it showed that night and 8 others. We would later tie a mediocre Silsbee team and lose in the first round of the playoffs to Port Neches-Groves, finishing the season at 9-1-1. Large margins of victory don't mean much, boys. It's better to be tested a few times in the season because it helps more come playoff time. There are some Jasper fans that remember the '82 team that had 9 shutouts and had allowed one or two touchdowns all year until we saw Thurman Thomas in the playoffs and got our butts handed to us.

This past year we beat Burkburnet 52-0 on homecoming, Whitesboro 74-0 during district, and Paris North Lamar 53-15 during the Bi-District round of the playoffs (they scored on our 3rd team defense)

Thurman Thomas ran all over our awesome defense that year. Jasper has fielded some terrific teams in the past, but never seems to get it together in the playoffs. This past year being an exception.

In 1980 The Port Isabel Tarpons defeated the Hidalgo Pirates 83-0. The Tarps did everything but put in the cheerleaders to stop the bleeding but when the score is that high they gave up long before the final whistle.

Blow-outs are fun for the guys doing the scoring, but gotta be bad for the other guys. I think 69 is probably the most that Sinton has ever scored in one game.

You just never know. I remember Coach Pickle telling me that Jasper beat Lumberton 77-7 one year and lost to them the next. It's a lot better to beat a great team by 1 than it is to pummel an undermanned team by 82.

I remember playing in a game we won 54-0 in HS...Our Coach was trying to hold the score down. He ask me, "Have you ever ran a punt back?", which I answered N0?....He said, "GOOD, then go in there and run the punt back!".....I remember when Orangefield beat Kountze by a horrible score in 1978. A father from Kountze went out to the edge of the field and called his son over to the edge, and they both walked off the field, in the early part of the fourth quarter, and crawled in the car and went home.

On that Barbers Hill game where they scored 99, they beat Deweyville 99-0. The game was played back in the 70's. I was talking to one of the players who played in that game, and he told me that at halftime, the players switched jerseys, whereas the recievers put on the linemen jerseys, and the linemen put on the reciever and back jerseys!!!!
