I think Txb nailed it. Colts O is impressive. Nothing about the Saints, outside of QB, is that spectacular.

super bowl classic coming up:

colts 45
saints 42

mvp: manning 28-36 328 yards 4TD 1INT

matt stover hits a 38 yard field goal as time expires after the saints turn the ball over deep in colts territory and peyton cements his legacy by driving them to the 19 yard line to set up stover's kick

Peyton Manning is a machine that won be stopped. Colts win it

Colts 34
Saints 23

Manning gets MVP with 25-36 for 287 3 touchdowns and no picks

I just think that Peyton is one of the best quarterbacks ever, and it shows as he leads the Colta on a last minute drive to win it 31-26.

He may be the best ever when he retires. I just dont see them losing becuse of him.

Its only a few days away, and I had to go looking for this thread. Yea I know, I dont really care who wins either, but it IS the Superbowl after all, and this is a football lovers site.
Going with the Colts in this one. Manning is just too good. But if he goes down, the Colts will be in big trouble, and we know the Saints are looking to knock him out of the game.

Yes, the hurricane point is a little out of control, but this is a team and a city that needs the win a whole lot more than Indy does.

Not sure how it's anyone else's responsibility to handle their business...mine...yours, the federal government, or otherwise. I'm not sure how winning a football game is going to change anything long term there.

90% OF RESIDENT HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES? AGAIN THATS NOT 100%! - No sympathy

I'm going to make a daring prediction even though it is still early in the fourth quarter. I predict that the Most Valuable Player winner will be the QB from the winning team.

New Orleans didn't have the infrastructure in place to prevent the flooding problems in the aftermath of the storm, true.

But, it is the federal governments responsibility to step up and help the citizens of the city and try to minimize the possible loss of life. They did a lackluster job at that, but complaining won't bring people back to life.

Winning the Super Bowl won't either, but it might make some people a little happier for a while.

"stepping in" can prevent much in the aftermath of a storm.....but I know that hurricanes don't "sneak up" on you either. Piss poor planning by the city itself is to blame...not the federal government.

Good game though going into the 4th!!! :)

And if you know that the city isn't going to do a good job, you step in early and try helping out as much as you can.

But back on topic:

Go Saints.

Federal government can offer relief after the storm which they did a piss poor job at doing but we'll just ignore that fact because it doesn't work with your arguement.

But hey it was just a little flooding, I guess they really didnt need relief in your opinion

A great challenge won by the Saints to get the two critical points. The Colt player kicked the ball away after the score.

I was big time pulling for the Colts, but i don't know about dominate everything? Colts defense could not get the Saints off the field in the last 3 quarters. Not to mention they had more penalty yards as well, I think.
And the Colts lost the turnover battle.

Passing percentage played a big factor - plus turnovers.

In the end SCOREBOARD is all that matters!

Wow, what a great game! The pick 6 was the biggest play, even bigger than the onside kick. Without that, I think the Colts score and we have a tie game, then anything could have happened. Congrats to Drew Brees. A class act all the way.

The Saints deserve this win and the Super Bowl Champion title 100%. I am very happy for the long-suffering faithfull fans of New Orleans who have rabidly supported this team thru the years. They might have voiced their displeasure with the team's lack of success, but they never, ever stayed at home or quit supporting this team. I think we Cowboys fans could learn a little about supporting the Cowboys more vocally from them.

Glad the Saints won.....but what the heck was Obama doing on there an hour before the game?
Superbowl is a day to celebrate and not a day to remember how bad the economy is.

I'm also happy for Mark Brunell, the veteran Saints b/u QB. He got his first Super Bowl ring after many years in the NFL. I think he, like Drew Brees, is a pretty straight-arrow and also a good man.
