What is everyones favorite formation on either side of the ball? (or just those who know what a formation is):p

Mine is the 6-1 defensive formation
You have your regular down 4 lineman, and add 2 line backers to the line. Then you have one Mid backer, 2 safeties back deep and of course your 2 corners.

The 10-1. you have 2 a gappers, 2 b gappers, and a guy coming off each edge. then a middle backer, a single safety, and the other safety is in the box over the tight end 2 yrds off the ball. then you have the 2 corners

The "Victory" formation in the Decatur game...:D

Other than that, one of my favorite plays is the "post" pattern---when used by a good passing team in HS ball---it usually rips the defense open like a ripe watermelon because few HS teams throw down the middle much.

I like the veer formation on offense and the 4-2-5 on defense.

I'm not sure about the formation, but the best play is taking a knee

have never understood why yall call this the 10-1. You have two corners then a deep safety...the other safety NOT being on the LOS....one middle backer....why not call it the 6-1 like everyone else who runs it does?

gotta go old school here.....I liked the wishbone. Ernie Koy, Chris Gilbert or Jim Bertleson running a sweep being led by 230 lb guards. Those days will never return, but it sure was fun to watch......
